a new week, a new promise! and this week is all about BEING GRATEFUL. because, seriously, THINK about it, and you'll find so freaking much to be grateful for, even in the darkest of days and shittiest of times you can find the good in the ugly.
this is the art journal page I made:

journaling is in Dutch. here's what i had to say about it:
BE GRATEFUL. be grateful for all i already have. i am such an expert in looking up at others, see how much success they have, ambitious woman (and i don't even want to be them, or be ambitious), or how they are 'doing' on social media, way more followers than i have, more likes or comments. and mostly better and more beautiful pieces of art. but i truly truly need to promise myself and allow myself to be super grateful for all i have now, and mostly all i had dreamed of! i live the life that only a few years ago i had invisioned. i can almost work fulltime from home. i can be at home all the time when the kids are out of school or are on holidays. i only have to be 2 mornings a week at the company. ar and i rebuild our dream home, and we have the most amazing beautiful wild garden which is heaven for the kids, and my own freaking studio next to our living room is simply heaven and a dream come true. i can create as much and as often as i want. so jesus freaking frig, BE GRATEFUL for once! you already have it all. kids doing great, are very social and have lots of empathy. Arjan and i have build a warm & loving family of our own and if i would only look and notice how beautiful every day is (yes, with all the shitty parts too), i can only BE GRATEFUL.
